I am Eswara Rao Tamminana, an independent Credit Analyst, Credit Report Consultant and Credit Advisory Service Provider, with around 5 years of practical experience in analysing credit reports and assisting clients with credit-report-related issues.
My area of expertise covers the four major credit information companies operating in India:
My approach is based on detailed report analysis, identifying discrepancies, understanding the underlying credit information, guiding clients through the appropriate dispute process, and providing practical credit advisory support. Every credit report is different. I do not believe in a "one-size-fits-all" approach.
To help clients understand their credit reports correctly, identify genuine discrepancies, follow the appropriate resolution process and develop better credit-management practices.

The foundation of every client engagement
With approximately five years of experience in credit-report analysis and advisory services, my focus is on providing clients with clear, systematic and responsible guidance.
Each report is analysed carefully rather than simply looking at the credit score. Account-level information, payment history, overdue information, account status, balances, enquiries and personal details are examined wherever relevant.
Credit reports contain highly confidential financial and personal information. Maintaining client privacy and confidentiality is one of my fundamental principles. Client information is handled only for the purpose for which it is provided.
A Credit Information Company (CIC), commonly referred to as a credit bureau, collects and maintains credit information relating to borrowers and provides credit reports and credit scores to authorised users.
One of India's leading credit information companies. CIBIL reports contain information relating to credit facilities, repayment history, outstanding amounts, enquiries and other credit-related information.
Experian India provides credit information and credit-reporting services. Its reports help lenders assess an individual's credit history and repayment behaviour.
Equifax India maintains and provides credit information used by lenders as one of the inputs in evaluating credit applications.
CRIF High Mark provides credit information services and maintains credit information used by financial institutions for credit assessment.
A borrower may have credit information reported across different credit bureaus — sometimes appearing differently because of differences in reporting, update timing, or data received from lenders.
Checking only one report may not always provide the complete picture. A professional credit-report analysis can compare information such as:
A credit score is a numerical representation generated from credit information maintained by a credit information company, according to its scoring methodology.
A credit score can help a lender assess the credit risk associated with a borrower. However, the score alone does not determine whether a loan will be approved. Lenders may also consider:

A systematic, step-by-step approach to understanding and resolving credit report issues
Obtain the relevant credit report(s) from the concerned credit information company
Review personal information, accounts, payment history, balances, enquiries and other relevant information
Identify possible discrepancies or areas requiring clarification in the report
Review available supporting documents to prepare for the dispute process
Prepare and guide the client regarding appropriate dispute submission with the bureau or lender
Track the dispute/request and review the response received from the bureau or lender
After an update, review the credit report again to verify whether the information has been corrected
Systematically reviewing a credit report to understand whether the information is: Accurate → Complete → Consistent → Properly Updated
If a credit report contains information that is incorrect, inaccurate, incomplete or not updated, the appropriate approach is to raise a dispute with the relevant credit information company and/or concerned lender.
We assist clients through the entire process:
Understanding common credit report issues helps you identify what to look for in your own report
Wrong name, date of birth, address, mobile number or email ID appearing in the credit report.
The same credit facility may appear more than once under certain circumstances, inflating reported liabilities.
An account may continue to show an incorrect status after the underlying information has changed.
The balance or overdue amount may require verification and may not reflect actual outstanding dues.
A payment may have been reported incorrectly — showing as missed or late when it was made on time.
An enquiry may appear that the consumer does not recognise or did not authorise.
A consumer may find an account that they believe is not theirs — this should be investigated immediately.
There is no legitimate shortcut that guarantees an immediate increase in credit score. Healthy credit management generally involves consistent, responsible habits over time.
Before submitting multiple loan applications, consider reviewing your credit profile across all four bureaus.
A credit bureau maintains and provides credit information based on data received from lenders. The lender is responsible for reporting the relevant account information. Therefore, when a discrepancy is identified, understanding who reported the information and what supporting evidence exists is essential. A proper dispute should explain: What is wrong? Why is it wrong? What should be corrected? What evidence supports the request?

A credit score is a numerical representation generated from credit information maintained by a credit information company. It can help a lender assess credit risk. However, the score alone does not determine whether a loan will be approved — lenders consider many other factors including income, employment, existing liabilities and internal policies.
A borrower may have credit information reported across different credit bureaus — CIBIL, Experian, Equifax and CRIF High Mark. Information can sometimes appear differently because of differences in reporting, update timing or data received from lenders. Checking only one report may not always provide the complete picture.
No. No consultant can legitimately guarantee a particular credit score increase, deletion of a genuine loan account, or guaranteed loan approval. Corrections depend on the accuracy of information reported by the concerned lender and the applicable dispute-resolution process. Any service making such guarantees should be approached with caution.
Client privacy and confidentiality is one of our fundamental principles. Your credit report and related documents are highly confidential financial information and are handled only for the purpose for which they are provided — to assist with analysis, dispute guidance and credit advisory.
Typically, a copy of your credit report(s) from the relevant bureau(s) is the primary requirement. Supporting documents may vary depending on the nature of the issue — for example, payment receipts, NOC documents, or loan closure letters may be relevant for specific dispute situations.
The timeline depends on the nature of the dispute, the credit bureau's process and the lender's response. Credit bureaus are generally required to respond to disputes within a stipulated timeframe. However, actual correction of information depends on the response received from the reporting entity (the lender).
